Aiming at the power grid fault for doubly fed induction generator(DIFG)of 2 MW,dynamic voltage restorer(DVR)based hybrid energy storage system composed of batteries and super-capacitors is presented to improve the fault penetration capacity of DIFG.The voltage level of DFIG stator is fully compensated during grid faults to keep the stator voltage,rotor current and DC side voltage in the normal levels.A simulation model of DFIG-DVR is established in Matlab/Simulink.The low voltage penetration during symmetrical and asymmetrical grid faults is simulated,and the high voltage penetration during symmetrical grid faults is also simulated.The simulation results indicate that the hybrid energy storage system based DVR can effectively improve the fault penetration capability of DFIG.
