Some common and effective damage detection methods based on changes of vibration parameters are summarized.Advantages and disadvantages as well as the application scope of the methods provided in current literature are discussed,of which more attention is paid on the methods based on mode,shape,curvatures.finally,the problems of bringing these methods into the practical applications in complex structures like Hydraulic structures is analyzed,and the critical issues for future research on vibration-based damage detection are looked forward.
