Taking the icing conductor galloping of transmission lines in Zhongshakou as an example,Runge-Kutta method is applied to implement nonlinear numerical simulation of icing conductor galloping under the software Matlab simulation platform.Based on the hypothesis that transmission lines galloping in span is standing wave,this paper presents three degree of freedom galloping model of sector icing conductor and analyzes the velocity coupling between aerodynamic forces and conductor torsional vibration.The results show that the torsional galloping can cause lateral galloping when their vibration frequencies are close to each other,which is consistent with the galloping mechanism of Nigol;wave amplitude of the sector icing conductor is larger than crescent-shaped icing conductor in the same conditions;numerical simulation of galloping amplitude accords with the measured results.Thus,it provides reference for further study of the sector icing conductor galloping.
