Abstract:

To further optimize the reservoir dispatching mode, Heiquan reservoir is selected as the research object. By calculating the appropriate ecological flow for the river, a reservoir optimization model is developed that integrates the objectives of water supply, ecology, and power generation. The optimal solution set is further analyzed to identify a balanced operation strategy that harmonizes the benefits of water supply, ecology, and power generation. The results show that there is an obvious competitive relationship between water supply goal, ecological goal and power generation goal of Heiquan reservoir. The balanced strategy, exemplified by a typical water year, achieves a 91.7% assurance rate for the appropriate ecological flow in the river while maintaining an 86.5% assurance rate for irrigation water supply, thereby realizing considerable overall benefits. The findings provide technical support for scientific and efficient decision-making of the Heiquan reservoir.
